In this workshop we are going to extract DNA from a living organism: strawberries! Strawberries are octoploid, meaning they have eight copies of each chromosome. Since they have so much genetic material, we can extract it and see the fibers with the naked eye.
This activity is perfect for getting started in the fascinating world of genetics, learning complex concepts in a simple way. Through the STEAM methodology (Sscience-science, Ttechnology, Engineering-Engineering, Aart, M(thematic), experimental tasks will be carried out.

Pay attention to the ages and respective schedules!- Group 1 (10:30-12:00): HIGH SCHOOL (THAT)
- Group 2 (12:30-14:00): from 4th to 6th grade of PRIMARY SCHOOL (EPO)
Participants will remain without their adult companions (father, mother, etc.) during the workshop, who must leave the facilities at the beginning of the workshop and return at the stipulated end time to pick them up.
On the day of the workshop, it is not necessary to bring a printed registration form, just give your name when you arrive!
