AI for Climate & Wine 2026

1. Executive Summary
A 2-day hands-on gathering bringing together the “Impact Tech” community and the EU Climate Pact ambassadors to collaboratively tackle the climate crisis by leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
When and where?
October 23-24, 2026, at Ribering Coworking, in Aranda de Duero, the capital of the Ribera del Duero region, in Spain.

2. Strategic Focus Areas
The 2026 edition will focus on reducing the CO2 emissions of two high-impact sectors:
Global Track: AI, an exponentially growing sector globally.
Local Track: Wine, a key socioeconomic sector locally, with Ribera del Duero being a world-class wine-making region. Local wine-makers will participate as well.

Launch of Aranda Ambassadors

Under the umbrella of the European Climate Pact Ambassadors network and being one of the 50 projects selected by the European initiative "Communities for the Climate", Aranda Embajadores is launched, a network of people who contribute collectively and voluntarily to improve Aranda de Duero, in collaboration with the promoting entities (Aranda de Duero City Council and Ribering) and collaborators who want to join. 

The mission is clear: to pull the lever of citizen mobilization to maximize the enormous potential of Aranda, transforming it into a wonderful city-territory to live in: diverse, resilient, inclusive, supportive, green, walkable, cyclable, healthy, etc. Thus, the collective action will be structured around working groups by challenges: Aranda Conecta (mobility), Aranda Verde (green areas and renaturalization), Aranda Alimenta (local and healthy agriculture and food), Aranda Bonita (cleanliness, hygiene and beauty), Aranda Diversa, Aranda Jóven …

With representation from the City Council, Ribering and a mentor assigned by the European Commission, Aranda Embajadores will get underway on Wednesday 23 October at 19pm in Ribering.
